Welcome to the Hayward lakes recreation area. Enjoy 11+ acres of partially wooded land on Teal Lake with nearly 300 feet of lake shore. Teal Lake is 1049 acres, connecting to Lost Land Lake, which has 1264 acres, provides over 3000 acres of excellent fishing and peaceful recreation. Often called “THE QUIET LAKES”, the only 2 major lakes in the Midwest with a 10 mph legal speed limit at all times. Any size motor is allowed but must stay at 10 mph and there is no water-skiing, speedboats, or jet skis. TEAL LAKE is ½ mile across and ¾ mile long, with 6 wilderness islands that are state owned and open to the public. Fish included Musky, pan fish and walleye.
Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest surrounds the area with 1.5 million acres. The town of Hayward is 25 miles to the west. Make this your recreational paradise. Come check out this beautiful area of Sawyer County, Wisconsin !!
